Paris Air Show 2011: Boeing’s Innovative Technologies Secures $22B At PAS11

Boeing has showcased their new and innovative line of commercial aircraft at the 2011 Paris Air Show in Le Bourget since Monday, June 20, 2011, according to a press release by the aircraft manufacturer on its official website today, June 23.

According to Boeing, putting on display aircraft models such as the 747-8 Intercontinental, 747-8 Freighter and 787 Dreamliner has attracted a lot of customers, partners, government officials and media.

Boeing‘s 747-8 Freighter, became the world’s first trans-atlantic commercial aircraft with four engines powered by a mix of fuel with 15 percent camelina-based biofuel.

Boeing and American Airlines announced that they will be accelerating their joint flight testing of its emerging technologies using the ecoDemonstrator Program, a Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft.

Below are some of the other attractions provided by Boeing at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget.

  • Air Berlin 737-700 – features a new Boeing Sky Interior
  • Qatar Airways Boeing 777-200LR – considered as the world’s longest-range passenger jetliner
  • C-17 Globemaster III – a military airlifter
  • F-15E Strike Eagle – multi-role fighter jet
  • CH-47F Chinook – heavy-lift helicopter

As of posting, Boeing has reportedly secured over $22 billion worth of orders and commitments for its fuel-efficient aircraft.
