The latest PAGASA weather update indicates that moderate to heavy rains will continue to fall in Metro Manila and other western section of Luzon until Wednesday, August 8, 2012.
In a DZMM radio interview at 2 p.m. today, August 7, PAGASA reiterates that there is no typhoon in the Philippines. However, a typhoon located about 300 kms away from Taiwan is enhancing the Southwest monsoon that brings moderate to heavy rains in the western part of Luzon.
Among the affected areas include Zambales, Tarlac, Bataan, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna and Mindoro among others.
Work in all private companies in Metro Manila was cancelled earlier in the day.
A dike in Minalin, Pampanga reportedly gave way and expected to cause more flooding in the area.
