PAGASA Weather Forecast and Bebeng Update

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administrator (PAGASA) has issued a tropical cyclone warning on tropical storm “Bebeng” (international codename: Aere), together with its Weather Forecast for the next three days, around 11 am on Sunday, May 8, 2011.

According to PAGASA, “BEBENG” has already made landfall in the Northern part of Catanduanes and is now moving in the direction of  the Quezon-Aurora area.

Bebeng” is moving with maximum winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of 100 kph.

Public storm warning signal has been raised by PAGASA in the following areas:

  • Camarines Norte
  • Camarines Sur
  • Northern Quezon
  • Polillo island
  • Aurora
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Nueva Viscaya
  • Isabela

Storm Signal Number 1:

  • Sorosogon
  • Albay
  • Southern Quezon
  • Laguna
  • Rizal
  • Bulacan
  • Pampanga
  • Tarlac
  • Pangasinan
  • La Union
  • Mt Province
  • Kalinga
  • Ifugao
  • Southern Cagayan

Based on PAGASA‘s three day forecast, “Bebeng” will be 70 km North of Baler, Aurora or at 110 km North Northeast of Cabanatuan City by Monday morning. By Tuesday morning, tropical cyclone “Bebeng” will be 170 km Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan. On Wednesday morning, “Bebeng” is expected to move farther away at 440 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes.

PAGASA is expected to provide its next bulletin at 5 pm today.
