Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecast estimated Bagyong Falcon or Tropical Storm Falcon at 330 km East of Basco, Batanes as of 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011.

PAGASA said that typhoon Falcon is heading in the North Northwest direction at 19 kph with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. The weather bureau expects typhoon Falcon to cause severe weather in the afternoon of Friday.

Tropical storm Falcon together with the southwest monsoon is expected to bring rains over Luzon and Visayas.

Public warning storm signal number one is still up in the islands of Calayan, Babuyan, and Batanes. These areas are alerted for possible flashfloods and landslides.

The next weather bulletin of PAGASA is expected at 5:00 p.m. today.
