PAGASA June 21 Update On Tropical Depression ‘Falcon’

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) 11:00 a.m. bulletin today, June 21, 2011, the low pressure area spotted in the Samar area has now developed into a tropical depression named ‘Falcon.’

PAGASA reported that tropical depression ‘Falcon‘ was located at 670 kilometers east of Borongan, Easter Samar. ‘Falcon‘ is moving west northwest at 19 kph with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center.

On Wednesday, PAGASA weather forecast expects ‘Falcon‘ at 440 kilometers East of Virac, Catanduanes.

Tropical depression ‘Falcon‘ is reportedly stronger and has a wider effect compared to tropical depression ‘Egay.’

Due to the existing tropical depression, the country will experience occasional rains while widespread rains will be felt over the western section of Luzon.
