PAGASA DOST Update: Typhoon Juan now raised Storm Signal No 1 in Metro Manila

According to the PAGASA DOST update as of 5pm, Typhoon Juan (or Megi) now raised to Storm Signal No 4 in Cagayan and Isabela, and encountering winds of more than 185 kph.

Meanwhile, Storm Signal No. 3 was raised to Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Quirino, and Northern Aurora.

On other hand, Storm Signal No. 2 was raised to Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, and the rest of Aurora.

And for Pangasinan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, and Polillo Island, all of them are now under Storm Signal No. 1.

With this, PAGASA is reminding residents living in low lying and mountainous areas of the affected areas with Public Storm Warning Signals to be alert against possible flashfloods and landslides.

In line with Storm Signal announcement, suspension of classes was suspended according to no-classes policy being implemented by Department of Education (DepEd).

PAGASA also said that Typhoon Juan is expected to land at Cagayan province tomorrow (Monday) morning, at around 8am, while it is being expected to leave in the afternoon over the western coast of Ilocos Norte.
