Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 Round per Round result: Manny Pacquiao wins over Juan Manuel Marquez via majority decision

As shown at HBO that day, the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 fight ended up with a majority decision of points, 114-114, 115-113, 116-112, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

For Round 1, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez came in apparently trying to weigh each other and without so much action. They had an exchange of short jabs, and the round is being noted to be for the Filipino boxer.

For Round 2, Pacquiao began to be quicker as well as Marquez and the crowd when wild. The boxers countered each other and Marquez missed his uppercut, misses but tried again and succeeded. Pacquiao gets more active. This round was said to be in favor of Marquez.

For Round 3, both boxers became more active and wild as they exchanged huge blows. Marquez threw series of punches but Pacquiao blocked them. Pacquiao landed a right hook and as straight right at the end of the round and was said to have won this round.

For Round 4, Pacquiao was aggressive at the start and landed some jabs on Marquez, who made strong counter punches. The two boxers get tangled up and were separated. Pacquiao landed a straight left and blocked Marquez‘ jabs. Pacquiao was said to have probably won this round.

For Round 5, Pacquiao slowed down a bit but continues to block Marquez‘ punches. Marquez landed a hook and a couple of hard shots as Pacquiao missed his hook. The Mexican boxer was noted to have obviously won this round.

For Round 6, Pacquiao get more aggressive as he landed a right hook but it was after Marquez gave him a right jab. Marquez missed uppercut but landed his right hand a left hook. Pacquiao punched him at the body. It ended with Marquez noted to have won this round.

For Round 7, Marquez landed a solid right hand at Pacquiao, who was seemed to be hurt as he pounded his gloves. The latter apparently showed tiredness as Marquez gave him another combination and an uppercut. The rounded with Marquez assumed to have won this round again.

For Round 8, Pacquiao had a blood on his mouth but gave Marquez a left hook to the body. Pacquiao landed a left to his face and the two exchanged strong punches. Pacquiao gave a 1-2 combination but Marquez was said to have won this round.

For Round 9, Pacquiao had a cut on his lower lip but continues to block Marquez. He gave him an uppercut and Marquez missed him with a wide hook. They get tangled, clinch and break. They exchanged blows and showed non-stop action, with the round ending but it seemed that Pacquiao won this round.

For Round 10, Marquez went down but it’s a slip. They continued to exchange strong punches and Pacquiao landed a straight left. Marquez started to slow down but Pacquiao had a cut above the eye, which was said to be caused by an accidental head butt. Pacquiao was said to have won this round.

For Round 11, Pacquiao seemed to regain his strength while Marquez was noted to have continuously dropping off. Pacquiao landed a nice uppercut but Marquez gave him a 1-2 combination. This round seemed to be a quite round than the last one, but Pacquiao was said to have dominated this round.

For Round 12, Pacquiao started slow and seemed to find it hard to find an opening at the start but patiently waited. Pacquiao hit at the body while Marquez returned with a jab and combination. Pacquiao lost his mouthpiece in last minute. When the bell rang, Marquez raised his right fist and Pacquiao knelt in his corner and prayed. Marquez was said to have won this round.

Later, it was announced that Manny Pacquiao won via a majority decision. Glenn Trowbridge (116-112) and Dave Moretti (115-113) scored it for Pacquiao. Robert Hoyle scored it tied, 114-114.

Right after the fight, Juan Manuel Marquez complained and claimed he won over Manny Pacquiao.
