It was reported that Ferrari Theme Park would be opened to the public last October 27, 2010. A released statement was issued in their official Website about its opening last October 27, 2010.

As quoted in their released statement, “We are excited to open our doors to the public earlier than previously anticipated, on Wednesday 27th October 2010 and we look forward to welcoming many guests to mark this historic day,” said Claus Frimand, General Manager, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. “This will be the beginning of an exciting Inaugural Period, with the start of operations at the world’s first Ferrari theme park.”

However, a change of plan took place because Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed al-Qassimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah passed away last Wednesday. According to reports, the Ferrari Theme park will not be opened to the public until after November 4, 2010.

United Arab Emirates declared a seven days of official mourning in respect to Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed al-Qassimi‘s passing away. In this connection, Ferrari World Theme park officials declared the postponement of its opening as a show of respect.
