Ogopogo, Canada‘s version of the Loch Ness monster, was reportedly videotaped for about 30 seconds, several Canadian news sites reported on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.

As seen on the video below, the recorded scene in Lake Okanagan was not able to capture the monster itself, but two long ripples of water.

“It was not going with the waves,” Richard Huls, the man who captured the video was quoted as saying. “It was not a wave, obviously, just a darker color. The size and the fact that they were not parallel with the waves made me think it had to be something else.”

Huls reportedly captured the video a few weeks ago while visiting a West Kelowna winery.
