As reported at ABS-CBN TV Patrol, where a video is available below, Ogie Diaz allegedly criticized Charice using his Twitter account, but later apologized and eventually deleted the supposed negative tweets.

Allegedly, Diaz tweeted that ‘nerdy glasses do not look good to Charice’, compared her to Lea Salonga, another Pinay international artist, and said that the ‘Pyramid’ singer should not act like a foreign artist.

“Isa lang ang masasabi ko: iba pa rin ang charisma ni Ms. Lea Salonga sa mga Pinoy, very fluent pa siya sa Tagalog, lalo na sa English.” Ogie tweets.

(One thing I can say, the charm of Ms. Lea Salonga to Filipinos is really different; she’s very fluent in Filipino, so much so in English)

On his post at Pinoy Parazzi on Tuesday entitled ‘Charice: Walang ‘K’ magpaka-Hollywood sa Pinas! (Charice: No Right to act like in Hollywood!), Ogie shared his opinions on what happened recently, when Charice had a concert at SM Mall of Asia (MOA).

Ogie cited the numerous and strict bodyguards of Charice as if she is not in her home country, and allegedly ‘snubbed’ the entertainment press.

But apparently, Chasters did not like his comments, and criticized Ogie via Twitter, and some even announced plan to boycott him and Entertainment Live (E-Live), where Ogie is one of the hosts.

Ogie Diaz then decided to make a public apology, particularly to Charice and Chasters, adding that his mother should not be included in the issue.

“Kung naka-offend ang opinion ko marapat lang na mag-sorry ako,” Diaz said, but denied that he made harsh comments against Charice. (If my opinions had offended Charice, then I should really say sorry)

“Humihingi ako ng sorry sa kanya at kapag nakita ko na siya ng personal ay magso-sorry pa din ako sa kanya,” he said, adding that he understand that public apology is not enough.

(I am apologizing to Charice, and I will say sorry to her again, once I have a chance to meet her)

The official statement of Ogie Diaz was read at TV Patrol on Wednesday, but the news said later that some Chasters don’t believe him and said they do not see the sincerity of his apology.
