An octopus walking on dry land was caught on video by visitors at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach, California, according to reports by several international news sites on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

The octopus reportedly crawled out from the water and walk on dry land, which is being noted to be very unusual to see.

Nevertheless, scientists explained that it is common for octopuses to walk on ocean floor using their limbs. Some octopus use only two of their eight limbs to walk while using the other limbs to hide them from predators and pretend themselves as ocean plants.

Below is a YouTube video uploaded by tuantube showing an octopus crawling out of the water and walks along dry land.
