US President Barack Obama‘s 10-year-old pen pal, Sophia Bailey-Klugh from San Diego, California, reportedly sends letters regularly to the leader of the most powerful nation in the world.

Reports say that the 10-year-old Californian girl sent her first letter to invite Obama for a dinner. Sophia however, did not received any reply from the US President.

A CNN report said that another letter was sent by Sophia to thank the US President for his stance on gay marriage. Unlike her first letter, the little girl reportedly received a personal reply from Obama.

Sophia is reportedly a daughter of two gays. One of her dads,Jonathan Bailey, reportedly posted her letter on Facebook last October 28.

According to Bailey, Obama’s 10-year-old pen pal was “unprompted” in writing her letters to the US President. Bailey and his partner were reportedly “so unbelievably proud” of Sophia.

Below is part of Sophia Bailey-Klugh‘s letter to US President Barack Obama.

Dear Barack Obama,
It’s Sophia Bailey Klugh your friend who invited you to dinner. You don’t remember okay that’s fine. But I just wanted to tell you that I am so glad you agree that two men can love each other because I have two dad and they love each other.

The US President responded to his 10-year-old pen pal with the following suggestion.

A good rule is to treat others the way you hope they will treat you.

Thanks again for taking the time to write me. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to dinner, but I’ll be sure to tell Sasha and Malia you say hello.
