As announced at BarackObama.com on Friday, “Obama for America” staff will now be managing both accounts and will be posting daily updates from the campaign trail everywhere in the US.

The profile photos of both Obama’s Facebook and Twitter accounts were replaced by his Obama 2012 campaign logo while the White House Twitter account will continue to be for official White House tweets.

Nevertheless, President Obama was noted to still be posting regularly on his Facebook and Twitter accounts and his personal messages will be signed “-BO“.

Apparently, the president sent his first personal tweet, addressing his message in celebration of Father’s Day 2011, as he treated her daughters, Malia and Sasha to ice cream that special day.

“Being a father is sometimes my hardest but always my most rewarding job. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. –BOPresident Obama, @BarackObama tweeted on Monday morning.
