Obama Ratings Poll Results Showed an Increase in Obama’s Approval Ratings

The results of the approval ratings survey of President Barack Obama showed an increase with the Americans optimistic view of the US economy. The survey results was released by Reuters/Ipsos on Wednesday, February 9, 2010.

The job approval rating of President Obama rose to 51 percent from 50 percent in January, while his disapproval rating dropped to 46 percent from 47 percent. Obama continues to get a steady increase since his lowest rating of 43 percent in October 2010.

During the month of January, the jobless rate is now down to 9 percent from a 9.4 percent in December. The 0.8 percentage point drop since November is considered as the biggest two-month decline since 1958.

The recent survey was conducted last February 4-7 with respondents that include 1,112 adults, with 844 registered voters. The interviews were conducted through land lines and cell phones, using either English or Spanish language.
