US President Barack Obama gets his lowest approval rating of 40 percent based on the latest Gallup‘s daily presidential tracking poll, as reported by several international news sites on Friday, July 29, 2011.

The latest Obama approval rating is considered as the lowest since he assumed the US Presidency. The new Obama rating is three percentage points lower from Thursday’s result.

Reports added that about 50 percent of the respondents were not satisfied with the Obama‘s performance.

The low rating of President Obama is believed to be the result of the increasing debate on raising the debt ceiling. The result of Gallup‘s July 28 poll showed that about 41 percent of the respondents approved Obama’s handling of the debt-ceiling negotiations, while 52 percent disapproved him.

In April of this year, President Obama got his previous low of 41 percent.

Gallup‘s poll was conducted from July 26 to 28. About 1,463 American adults were randomly sampled by phone.
