US President Barack Obama waved his right hand while joining other world leaders in a UN group photo shoot but blocked the face of a fellow president, as shown in the photo below.

As noted at US news sites on Wednesday, President Obama stood along with other leaders during the Open Government Partnership meeting at the United Nations in New York.

According to reports, the UN group photo was taken last Tuesday, September 20, as Obama’s hand accidentally blocked the face of Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj.

Apparently, Mr. Obama seemed to wave his hand just in time when the camera flashed, but remains unclear why the US president did the hand gesture.

It was also not clear why Obama was the only one who waved his hand that time, with the photo noted to be real and was taken by pool photographer Allan Tannenbaum.

Among other world leaders included in the UN group photo is Philippine President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, who was standing on the left side of President Obama.
