NY Times launched free Ipad updates available until early 2011

NY Times has just launched free iPad updates at iTunes, but will be available only until early 2011, as posted a few hours ago at iTunes.

The said free updates for iPad users is now available for download at Apple’s App store, replacing the the limited news collection provided by the older ‘Editor’s Choice’ app.

After New York Times readers will download the iPad app, which requires iOS 3.2 or above, they will enjoy free access to the site that has now 25 sections and about 50 blogs.

Users, however, should first register for a free NYTimes.com account to gain full access to the new app, while unregistered ones can have access to top news, business, most-emailed and videos.

But while the price for the upcoming paid subscription for NY Times has not yet been announced, the newspaper said the ‘Editor’s Choice‘ App had been downloaded more than 650,000 times, after it was launched last April.
