Novak Djokovic won over Rafael Nadal during their match of men’s finals in the U.S. Open 2011 on Monday night, September 12.

According to several sports news, Djokovic defeated Nadal in 6-2, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-1 result and made the former to receive his 1st US Open title and a Grand Slam Trophy of 2011 for the third time.

“In big matches, the winner is decided by small margins, a couple points. I guess the winner is the one who believes in victory more,” Djokovic, with 10 tournament titles, was quoted as saying.

“I guess it just clicked in my head. Through the last couple of years, I didn’t change my game in any major way. … But I’m hitting shots that maybe I wasn’t hitting. I’m going for it. I’m more aggressive,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal accepted his loss in the result of their match.

“Obviously I’m disappointed. But you know what this guy is doing is unbelievable,” Nadal revealed in the reports.
