The Northeast blizzard is expected to bring over two-feet deep snow in New York City by Monday, January 26, 2015.
NYC Authorities warned that the blizzard could probably run for 35 hours.
An estimated 6,500 flights were already cancelled due to bad weather. About 65 million people will be affected by the blizzard according to the National Weather Service.
The blizzard reportedly covers a 250-mile stretch of the Northeast.
NWS forecast said that the Northeast blizzard could set a new record for the amount of snowfall. The weather authorities expects the worst late Monday through Tuesday night.
Businesses, schools and subways were totally closed as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo urged people to stay inside their home.
The Weather Channel described the Northeast blizzard “to be a big one, historic. There could be paralyzing, crippling blizzard conditions.”
