Nokia Lumia 900 unveiled at the CES 2012, Nokia’s first Windows smartphone for AT&T

The Nokia Lumia 900 was unveiled on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 in Las Vegas, which the first Nokia Windows smartphone for AT&T.

According to technology news sites that day, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop announces the 4G LTE Lumia 900 on the said event, the third Lumia smartphone, but first for AT&T.

As reported earlier, the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 were the first Nokia Windows smartphones, which were unveiled in a press conference in late October last year, also by Mr. Elop.

“The Lumia 900 is not only about a great device, but it’s also about inspiring a great ecosystem,” Nokia Chief Executive Officer Stephen Elop was quoted while speaking at the event this Monday.

“An ecosystem is more than just the apps. It’s more than the device. It’s more than the operating system.” Elop added, who was joined onstage by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and AT&T Mobility President Ralph de la Vega.

As noted in the press release by Nokia on its official website also that day, the Nokia Lumia 900 has a 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack Display and a 1.4 GHz CPU, 512 MB of RAM, and has front and back cameras.

Nokia noted that the Nokia Lumia 900 is being expected to be out in the coming months exclusively to AT&T and will be available in cyan and matte black, with its price still to be announced later.
