Nokia launches C5 3G Touchscreen Smartphone (Video Demo)

Nokia, through their official blog yesterday launched its new 3G touchscreen smartphone, C5.

According to Nokia Conversations, the Nokia C5-03 is an economical and a simple unit but promises to cover all important features of a smartphone.

Nokia C5-03, which is set to run on Symbian^1 version operating system, measures 105.8 mm x 51.0 mm x 13.8 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 93 grams, quite smaller than Nokia N8 or C7.

This C5-03 device has a 3.2-inch (360×640) resistive touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom, but with no flash.

Also according to Nokia, C5-03 features a compass and assisted GPS for use with the latest version of the free Ovi Maps hands-free navigation service, now featuring public transport support and location sharing through social networks.

It comes with up to 40MB of user memory and a support for MicroSD cards up to 16GB, the report added.

The talktime is quoted at 11.5 hours for GSM use and 4.5 hours using 3G, and the standby time is about 24 to 25 days.

Nokia C5 users can also access to Ovi Music and the Ovi Store so they can fill the unit with fresh content on a daily basis.
