Nintendo 3DS Price Drop Below £200 By Retailers Tesco and Sainsbury in UK

The competition has become favorable to consumers as the price of Nintendo 3DS goes down in Sainsbury and Tesco and has breached the £200 barrier in the United Kingdom (UK). Majority of retailers in UK is offering the new gadget with a price tag of £229.99.

According to international sites, supermarket chain Sainsbury started the console price war, when it brought down the price of Nintendo 3DS for just £199.99. Sainsbury became the first retailer to pegged the price of Nintendo 3DS below £200. Earlier, ShopTo.Net lowered the console’s price to just £199.85, but, for a ‘limited time only’.

With still over a month before the UK arrival of Nintendo 3DS, retail giant Tesco has offered the cheapest price, as of February 11, 2011, for the glasses-free 3D console which is available for pre-order pegged at £197. Tesco‘s offer is £2.99 cheaper than Sainsbury. Consumers can go to the Tesco Direct website to avail of the lowered Nintendo 3DS price.

Nintendo 3DS will be launched in the UK on March 25, 2011.
