Lindsey Burgess, 30, was “sucked” into the Niagara Falls last Monday, July 18, while trying to touch the water.  Burgess and her fiancé, Rich Waggoner, were out on a hike at the Devil’s Hole, Niagara’s Whirlpool State Park when the incident happened, as disclosed by US news sites.

Reportedly, a Whirlpool Jet Boat crew saw the happening and rescued her and brought her to the St.  Mary’s hospital and then to the Buffalo’s Erie County Medical Center.

Lindsey Burgess has been in the ICU but is recovering, and has finally met the boat captain who had rescued her, Corey Ziraldo.

Burgess told Ziraldo, in a tearful but happy reunion at the hospital.

“You gave me everything.”
