According to a press release by WordPress on its official blog that day, this latest WordPress iOS app update is being dubbed the “biggest update ever,” which has over 180 new features and fixes in total, and features a completely re-imagined interface for both iPhone and iPad.
WordPress.com, which has nearly 54.7 millions sites and blog worldwide based on its own statistics as of this writing, now provides WordPress bloggers the opportunity to view their full WordPress.com stats right from within the app, which means more details, more control, and much better use of screen space.
Among the key features of the WordPress iOS app include the sliding sidebar panels, which can be viewed by either tapping the menu button or swiping the navigation bar. It allows users to have an easy access to any other area of the app with just a swipe and a tap, and to the app settings as well.
In addition, this new WordPress iOS app also has Reader and Quick Photo for iPad, Post Formats support, All-Around Landscape Support, Easy Site and Dashboard Access, as well as the Friend Finder feature that helps bloggers find their friends blogging on WordPress.com.
