New Version of Skype for Mac OS X will be available soon

Skype for Mac OS X will be available for download soon, as Skype gave this latest update on their blog.

This is the assurance of Peter Parkes of Skype, as you can see on the screen shot below, which is probably the response of Skype to some Mac users who might think that they are being left behind.

And just as this announcement was made on Thursday, it was also announced that day that Skype becomes a partner of Facebook, on its new version, Skype 5 Beta.

The Skype 5 Beta version now includes Facebook‘s news feed and phonebook into Skype, which means that Skype users can call their Facebook friends directly on mobile or landline phones.

In addition, Skype also updated the 2.1.2 version for iPhone on October 11, which focused on users’ concerns such as having a new look, new setting option, and improvement of event notification.

And as Skype revealed, Mac users can expect that Skype’s app for Mac OS X is a complete overhaul, in terms of the way it looks and its functionality.

“We’re working hard to deliver group video calling to the Mac as quickly as possible.” Parkes said.
