As reported at Today.com this Tuesday, September 18, 2012, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo appeared on the Today‘s show and revealed the new Twitter, wherein the profile photo is now placed in front and at the center, unlike before when it is small and at the upper left side corner of the profile.
As noted in the report, the rollout of the new Twitter profile has already started to some users including Today‘s show, and all Twitter users will eventually have the new look; but will not be immediately implemented and may take a couple of months to be applicable to all.
“Upload an all-new header photo on mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android or Twitter.com, and the same image will appear whenever anyone views your profile on the web or these apps. You can upload your header photo, which appears above your tweets, to express yourself instantly, anywhere.” A statement reads at the official Twitter blog that day.
“New profiles also help you get to know people better through their pictures.Photo streams now appear below anyone’s most recent tweets on iPhone, Android, and iPad. Swipe through the stream to see the photos other users have shared or tap any thumbnail to view their photos in fullscreen.” Twitter added.
