New Super Mario 3D and Netflix announced, Nintendo 3DS Games complete list released

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced on Wednesday the release of the new Super Mario 3D for the Nintendo 3DS during the Game Developers Conference 2011 in San Francisco.

According to a post at Nintendo on Thursday, Mr. Iwata also held a keynote address entitled “Video Games Turn 25: A Historical Perspective and Vision for the Future“.

Nintendo 3DS will be the most connected Nintendo device ever, with its ability to link people via local wireless connections, while at the same time connecting them to people and content worldwide via hotspot connectivity.” The Nintendo President was quoted as saying.

At the same time, a sample screenshot of the upcoming Super Mario 3D was shown to the audience, a 3-D game developed by the Super Mario Galaxy team in Tokyo, Japan.

According to Nintendo, the game will feature the traditional Mario gameplay and will fulfill the dream of Nintendo video game designer and Mario creator, Shigeru Miyamoto.

Alongside with the announcement of the new game, Nintendo says it is planning to bring Netflix streaming movies to its glasses-free 3D game system, which will be launched this coming March 27 in the US for $250..

Most likely on April, Nintendo said that will provide Nintendo 3DS owners will be provided a wireless system update which will activate the Nintendo eShop.

The access will feature a short-form video service will allow users to view trailers for Hollywood movies in 3D via Netflix and access to video game trailers, background information, screenshots, as well as links to the websites of the publishers.

Meanwhile, Nintendo also released the complete list of titles of the Nintendo 3D games, with a total of 18 new games as enumerated below.
