Samsung Electronics recently launched its new product in an event in London; the 75-inch Smart LCD TV modeled ES9000 (75ES9000), as shown in the photo below, and is now available in South Korea for ₩19.8 million, or around $17,424.
As noted by Samsung Korea on their official website on Thursday, July 5, 2012, ES9000 Smart TV has a tiny 7.9mm bezel and the frame was covered with a gentle but advanced jewelry ‘Rose Gold’ coating, thus “adopting the color down to comfort and luxury”.
According to Samsung, its Diamond Black panel promises to bring around 30% improvement in clearness, contrast, and brightness, with ES9000 being considered as a big brother to ES8000, the 55-inch OLED TV which was launched last January during the CES 2012 event.
Apparently, this 75-inch Samsung LCD TV has the same Smart TV functionality with that of the ES8000 model, including the built-in webcam that appears from above the top edge of the bezel, which can be used for video calls, face-recognition, as well for the recently launched gesture control system.
In addition, its Wi-Fi feature also allows users to hook up wirelessly to speaker systems and to their home network, and stream videos, photos and music from their Samsung Galaxy S III; while the dual-core processor inside the TV notably applicable for app downloads such as Netflix, YouTube, among others.
As of this writing, this Samsung ES9000 LCD TV is only available in South Korea and Samsung did not give details as to when it will be available outside the country, particularly in the US and in UK. The complete specs and features are fully explained at Samsung.kr in Korean language.
