According to iMore on Monday, July 30, 2012, unnamed sources told them that there will be an Apple event on Sept 12, and that iPad mini and a revamped iPod nano will also be announced at the same time of the iPhone 5 announcement.
“We haven’t heard a release date for the iPad mini yet, but it could be the same as the iPhone 5. It seems likely the new iPod touch will make an appearance on September 12 as well, though we haven’t heard any specific information about that yet either.” A statement reads at iMore.com.
Last Sunday, 9to5Mac reported that Japanese iPhone repair shop iLab Factory recently posted alleged photos of a black, fully-assembled new iPhone, as well as photos of other individual components like home buttons and volume keys of the new device. Macotakara, another Japanese Apple site, released a video of its housing, as shown below.
As being rumored earlier, iPhone 5 is likely to have a 3.75″ display, along with a smaller connector than that of the earlier versions. Its Jack port, which is located in the upper left corner in the previous iPhones, will reportedly be moved to the lower left corner of the device.
