There is a new hottest chili pepper that beats the Naga Viper as the world’s hottest chili based on heat scale results, according to international reports. Trinidad Scorpion Butch T chili was said to be the new hottest chili pepper which rates more than 1.46 million units on a heat scale, while the British Naga Viper tops out at 1.38 million.

According to reports, the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T chili was grown in a farm in Lake Macquarie in Australia. Marcel de Wit of the Chili Factory in Morisett sent samples of Scorpion Butch for chemical analysis to measure its chili potency. The result was record breaking said Mr. de Wit, however, Guinness World Records said that the present record holder is the British Naga Viper chili.
