New Burger King fries announced, to be available in US starting December 5

Burger King Corporation, reportedly announced recently that they will introduce their new French fries, which will be available in the US starting Monday, December 5, 2011.

As noted by Nation’s Restaurant News on Wednesday, November 30, the new Burger King fries will be available in its over 7,000 US Burger King restaurants on the said date.

According to the report, the new Burger King fries will be fluffier, with better potato flavor on the inside and will be “crispy, golden-brown deliciousness” on the outside, which will be its first change since 1988.

“With the launch of our new fries, the home of America‘s favorite burger now has the best fries in the business.” Burger King Corp VP for global innovation Leo Leon was quoted in a statement.

“At Burger King, we constantly strive to make every item on our menu the best it can be.” Leon added, with the food chain company planning to offer a free small value portion of fries on December 16 as part of its promo.

“We believe our new fries are the latest example of our commitment to quality and innovation, and we invite everyone to visit our restaurants and taste the difference.” He explained further, with the price of their new fries to remain the same.

The new Burger King fries, which was said to be about 20 percent lower in sodium and will be cooked in trans-fat-free vegetable oil, will be made available outside the United States in 2012.
