New 13th Zodiac Sign Ophiuchus falls between Scorpio and Sagittarius according to astrologers

The 13th Zodiac sign called Ophiuchus has been revealed by astronomer Parke Kunkle at NBC news. Kunkle explained that the change in the Sun, Earth and stars‘s alignment in the last 3000 years has affected the zodiac sign of an individual. The zodiac sign of persons born a long time ago will have a different sign now. Astronomers believe that Ophiuchus, Greek word meaning ‘serpent-bearer’, falls between Scorpio and Sagittarius.

The stars that represent Ophiuchus can be found near the celestial equator that typically portray a man struggling against a snake. Ophiuchus is believe to have represented Greek mythology characters that include Asclepius the healer, Trojan priest Laocoon, who was killed by sea serpents, and Phorbas, who rescued the Rhodeans from the plague of serpents.

The zodiac sign Ophiuchus is found in the Sidereal Zodiac of the Jyotish or Hindu astrologers.

  • Capricorn: Jan. 19 – Feb. 15
  • Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
  • Pisces: March 12- April 18
  • Aries: April 19- May 13

According to Kunkle:

This is not something that happened today. This has gone on for thousands of years. Because of this change of tilt, the Earth is really over here in effect and Sun is in a different constellation than it was 3,000 years ago.
