According to charicemania.com, the R&B hitmaker and Grammy-award winner Ne-Yo expressed his interest to collaborate with Charice. This happened when they got the chance to talk backstage during the Las Vegas concert of David Foster and Friends Asian Tour last October.

As quoted from charicemania.com, Charice said in a TV interview in the “The Buzz“, “We were at the backstage and he was there at a corner. I was so shy so I didn’t have the guts to approach him – I’m a big Ne-Yo fan.”

Charice added, “Then he went to me and he told me something like he wants us to work together.” “As a new artist [like me], I was so overwhelmed and also because I’m also his fan!” she said with a lively giggle.

Shaffer Chimere Smith or better known as Ne-Yo is a successful singer-songwriter who wrote Beyonce‘s Irreplaceable and Rihanna‘s Take a bow.
