NCAA South Started In Batangas

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) South started its 12th season on Monday, September 6, 2010, in Tanauan City, Batangas.

“More than the game. Unity through Sports” is the theme of the NCAA-South, an offshoot of NCAA Manila.

10 schools participate on this league, namely:

  • First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) Tanauan, Batangas
  • Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba
  • De La Salle Lipa
  • Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas
  • Philippine Christian University– DasmariƱas
  • San Pablo Colleges-San Pablo
  • University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna
  • Don Bosco Technical College-Mandaluyong
  • San Beda-Alabang
  • University of Batangas

FAITH is the host school for this league and will go against the University of Batangas in the opening games in basketball and volleyball.

The games will continue in the second semester when taekwondo, beach volleyball and football will be held. Most of the games will be held at the FAITH campus.

Akiko Thomson, the Philippine Sports Commissioner is one of the featured guests in the NCAA South opening.
