NBC’s ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ cast revealed, includes Todd Palin, Laila Ali, Dean Cain, among others

NBC revealed on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 the cast of its upcoming reality competition called Stars Earn Stripes, which includes Todd Palin, husband of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin; Laila Ali, daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali; actors Terry Crews and Dean Cain; among others.

According to a press release by NBC on its official website that day, ‘Stars Earn Stripes‘ is an emotionally charged new competition show honoring America‘s armed forces, wherein eight contestants will be competing against each other in challenges based on the exercises being used in the US military.

As noted in the report, an “operative”, who can be either a current or former member of the armed forces or law enforcement, will be paired with each contestant, and will guide and join them on their mission as they play to win and to earn a cash prize, which will be donated to chosen military-related charities.

“We are honored to have a much-decorated and beloved military figure such as General Clark joining ‘Stars Earn Stripes.'” Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC, was quoted at NBC.com, who also announced the names of the entire cast and hosts.

“The general’s legendary record in the U.S. armed forces commands respect as he brings so much practical knowledge that will infuse the show with priceless insight.” Telegdy added, with other cast members include TV personality Nick Lachey; Olympian Picabo Street; pro wrestler Eve Torres; and “Biggest Loser” trainer Dolvett Quince.

Meanwhile, the ‘Stars Earn Stripes‘ show, which will be hosted by General Wesley Clark (ret.) and TV personality Samantha Harris, will debut with a special two-hour episode on Monday, August 13 (8-10 p.m. ET) and will air every Monday at 9 p.m. ET, in which one contestant/team will be eliminated every week.
