LeBron James scored 45 points to lead the Miami Heat to victory over the Boston Celtics, 98-79, on Thursday night, June 7, 2012, as published at NBA.com. The Game 6 win by the Heat in the TD Garden, Boston, MA, leveled the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Finals best-of-seven series at three games apiece.
The three-time MVP reportedly shot 12 of Miami‘s 21 field goals in the first half. James scored 30 of his team’s 55 first half points. He was finally taken out of the game after hitting 19 of 26 from the field and grabbing 15 rebounds.
Dwyane Wade is the only other Heat player to score in double-figures with 17 points.
Rajon Rondo scored 21 points and dished off 10 assists for Boston. Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass added 12 points each for the Celtics. Paul Pierce was 4-of-18 from the field and finished the game with only nine points.
The deciding Game 7 is scheduled at the American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL on Saturday, June 9. The winner of Game 7 will move on to the 2012 NBA Finals versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.
