The San Antonio Spurs won game 1 of their first round NBA Playoffs 2012 match-up against the Utah Jazz, 106-91, at the AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX, on Saturday, April 29, 2012, according to a report at NBA.com.

Tony Parker scored 28 points to help Spurs win their first playoff opener in four years. Parker shot 10 of 19 from the floor and dished off eight assists. Tim Duncan had 17 points and 11 rebounds for San Antonio.

Utah was led by Paul Millsap with 20 points. Gordon Hayward had 17 points and Al Jefferson added 16 for the Jazz.

The win is now the Spurs’ 11th consecutive victory. The Jazz is now 1-4 against the Spurs this season.

Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs first round series between San Antonio and Utah is scheduled on Wednesday in San Antonio.
