Chris Bosh reportedly informed the Miami Heat team that he is ready to play in the NBA Playoffs to help his team against the Boston Celtics. The Heat center was out indefinitely for the past three weeks due to a strained lower abdominal muscle, according to NBA.com.
Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Finals between the Heat and Celtics is set on Tuesday night, June 5, 2012 at the American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL.
The best-of-seven series between Miami and Boston is now tied at two games apiece.
Last Monday, June 4, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that Bosh’s status is “day-to-day”. Spoelstra, however, cannot guarantee that Bosh can play in Game 5.
According to Spoelstra, Bosh will “get a vote.” He explained that “Again, everything is heightened right now. These are extreme circumstances. Everybody will be involved in the decision, if and when it happens. But you always have to take the player’s opinion with a grain of salt. They all say they’re ready. … He said he was ready 10 days ago.”
Miami needs Bosh to match-up against Kevin Garnett who has been dominating the paint for the past two games.
