NBA Playoffs: Chicago Bulls Wins Game 5 Of 2011 NBA Eastern Semis vs Atlanta Hawks

Derrick Rose led the Chicago Bulls to victory over the Atlanta Hawks, 95-83, in Game 5 of the 2011 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals, on Tuesday night, May 10, 2011, according to a report by NBA.com.

Rose, the 2011 NBA MVP and Bulls superstar, scored 33 points to help Chicago in taking a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semis. Luol Deng had 23 points and Taj Gibson scored 11 points in the fourth quarter.

The Hawks was led by Jeff Teague with 21 points. Atlanta‘s poor shooting percentage in the fourth quarter at 29 percent cost them the game.

The Bulls started the game like a house on fire by outscoring the Hawks early, 10-2. They led by as much as 15 points in the first half, before the Hawks rallied in the third quarter to take the lead by one point. The Bulls scored nine straight points early in the fourth quarter and played good defense to limit the Hawks output to just 15 points in the quarter.

Game 6 will be played on Thursday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Philips Arena in Atlanta.
