NBA Playoffs: Carlos Boozer Led Chicago Bulls In Game 6 Win vs Atlanta Hawks, Advances To 2011 East Finals

Chicago Bulls cruised to its first trip to the Eastern Conference Finals since 1998, with a rousing win against the Atlanta Hawks, 93-73, in Game 6 of the 2011 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals, according to a report at NBA.com. The Bulls wins the best-of-seven series versus the Hawks, 4-2.

Carlos Boozer led the Bulls for the first time in the series against the Hawks by scoring 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Derrick Rose added 19 points (8-for-14) and issued 12 assists.

Rose has averaged 27.4 points during the first five games of the Bulls’ best-of-seven series against the Hawks.

Good defense by the Bulls was able to shutdown the Hawks‘ offense. Chicago limited Atlanta to just 27-for-74 shooting (36.5 percent) and 1-for-11 on 3-pointers.

Chicago started like a house on fire as they took an early lead, 27-17. The Bulls held a double-digit lead in majority part of the game and the Hawks never had a chance to take the lead.

Joe Johnson led Atlanta with 19 points and Josh Smith added 18 points.

Game 1 of the Chicago Bulls versus Miami Heat 2011 NBA Eastern Conference Finals will be played on Sunday night, May 15, at United Center.
