NBA Finals 2011 Game 3 Result: Miami Heat Wins vs Dallas Mavericks

Dwyane Wade led Miami Heat to victory over the Dallas Mavericks, 88-86, in Game 3 of the 2011 NBA Finals on Sunday night, June 6, 2011, at the American Airlines Center, in Dallas, Texas, according to a report at NBA.com.

With the Game 3 win, Miami regain homecourt advantage and now leads the best-of-seven series against Dallas, 2-1.

Wade led the Miami offense from the start as he scored 29 points, while hometown star Chris Bosh added 18 points. LeBron James had 17 points and nine assists for the Heat.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points and Jason Terry added 15 points for the Mavs. Shawn Marion, who provided help in the offense in Game 2, only scored 10 points.

According to reports, 11 Game 3 winners in a tied finals went on to win the championship since the 2-3-2 format was adopted in 1985.

Game 4 of the 2011 NBA Finals will be played on Tuesday night, June 7, 2011 at the American Airlines Center, in Dallas, Texas.
