NBA European Debut: New Jersey Nets Back-to-Back Win Against Toronto Raptors

The first regular season NBA games ever to be played in Europe had been won by New Jersey Nets over the Toronto Raptors, several basketball news sites reported.

The games were played in front of about 18,700 fans at the O2 Arena in London on Friday and Saturday.

On the European debut on Friday, the Nets won with a 116-103 victory. On the Saturday game, the Nets won over a triple-overtime game against the Raptors with a score of 137-136.

Brook Lopez, New Jersey‘s center led his team with 34 points while Toronto‘s Andrea Bargnani scored 35 points.

With Toronto leading at 136-135, Nets forward Travis Outlaw made his two free throws with 12.6 seconds left in the game making his team won the three and a half hour game.
