The NBA 2011 playoff series began on Sunday, April 17, 2011, as Boston Celtics won against the New York Knicks, courtesy of the three-point winning shot by Ray Allen, 87-85.

As shown at ABS-CBN live, Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks on Sunday night with the score of 87-85, in the first game best-of-seven of the NBA 2011 Eastern Conference playoff, held at the TD Garden.

With 11.6 seconds to go, Ray Allen got a pass from Paul Pierce and successfully made a three-point shot to make his team Boston Celtics win against the New York Knicks, and ending the game with 24 points.

After the shot, the Knicks did not have any time out left and Toney Douglas rushed the ball to Carmelo Anthony, who took a three-point shot but failed, and finished the game with 15 points.

Apparently, the first quarter was a close fight ending at 24-23, having a one-point lead by the Boston Celtics, but the scoring percentage for the team is lower than the New York Knicks.

At the end of the second quarter, Knicks is leading the game, 51-39, with Ray Allen making a two-point shot as the first shot for the third quarter of the ball game.

The third quarter ended at 64-59 with the Knicks still leading, but the Celtics scoring gets better as the five players now have double figures.

The game 2 for the NBA 2011 Eastern Conference playoff will be on Tuesday, April 19, still at the TD Garden.
