NBA 2010-11 Game Results: Hornets gets franchise-best 7-0 start with win over Clippers

The New Orleans Hornets proved too much in the fourth quarter against the  Los Angeles Clippers as they cruised to a 101-82 victory at the New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA, according to Nba.com. The lopsided win is the Hornets franchise best start at 7-0 and their 14th straight victory againts the Clippers.

Chris Paul need not carry the burden for New Orleans as reserve guards delivered for the Hornets. Willie Green top scored for the Hornets as he delivered 19 points while Jarryd Bayless added 15. Paul scored only 13 points but handed off eight assists for New Orleans and played for only 28 minutes. Paul did not play the entire fourth quarter.

Al-Farouq Aminu led the Clippers with 20 points. The Clippers missed the services of starting center Chris Kaman who suffered a sprained left ankle.

The Clippers was able to get close at 63-60 late in the third quarter but Bayless and Green delivered the timely plays for the Hornets. In the early part of the fourth quarter, the Hornets made a 9-0 run.
Green has already surpassed his 4,000 career points during the game.
