Nashville Weather: “Thunderstorm” Causes Severe Power Outage

A Nashville thunderstorm has cause the power outage of thousands of families as an unconfirmed tornado touchdown was observed. Trees have been uprooted  and the National Weather Service (NWS) has received reports of  tornadic activities. This was disclosed by Nashville news, April 4, 2011

According to the Nashville Electric Services (NES), 29 circuits are out and at least 74,000 users are without power.

Reports are still coming in as to the extent of the power outage. There are still no injuries reported as assessment is ongoing around the vicinity. People are encouraged to be on the look-out for updates from the weather channel, and weather advisory announcements from the NES, NWS or radar.weather.gov.
