NASA’s Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut Fitness Challenge Completed

NASA had extended a challenge to students in its Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut, which was a fitness activity that had ran for 6 weeks. The completion of the program was announced by NASA, March 24, 2011.

Mission X was the first collaboration between different countries in support “Let’s Move” the US First Lady’s program for maintaining a healthy lifestyle among Americans. Michelle Obama has been spearheading similar programs to create public awareness of healthy practices.

The students have undergone physical training for civilians for space travel and how to stay fit and healthy.

The enterprising move by NASA not only provided a unique, thrilling experience for the 3,700 students but had also motivated them to learn more about the vital significance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics or STEM.
