Yangon, Myanmar – A baby girl with 12 fingers and 14 toes, as shown in the photo, is now being eyed to get a Guinness World Record, and was believed to have been first reported by a weekly newspaper, Messenger News, recently.

According to reports, a baby girl named Lei Yadi Min was born on October 18, 2009 with 12 fingers (six fingers on each hand) and 14 toes (7 toes on each foot), and currently living in South Okkalapa township, located in the eastern part of Yangon, Myanmar.

“I asked the nurses whether my kid was born complete with hands and legs, and they told me my baby has more than she needs.” Phyo Min Min Soe, Lei’s mother, was quoted as saying.

Although the 26-year old mother said she will be happy if her daughter will have a Guinness World Record, but will still be a happy without it, noting that Lei has even more advantages.

Lei Yadi Min, now 16 months old, is among the babies born with Polydactylism, a rare case of having an extra finger or toe.

However, what is rarer about her is having extra fingers and toes that are all functional.

As of this writing, two children from India are holding the Guinness World Records for having the most number of fingers and toes, with 12 and 13 respectively.
