On December 30, 2010, Crystal Mountain ski resort was full and had to offer free passes to visitors to appease them. The other ski resorts have good business going on as well due to the great weather.

Business is going great on the slopes of Mount Rainier, even after the tragedy that happened on July 2010, in which a scientist was killed during a climb at Emmons Glacier. There are various faces of Mount Rainier that evoke awe and some sense of fear.

At 14, 411 feet, it towers amidst Washington’s terrain. Most of the time though, Washington’s highest mountain is shrouded in clouds, that visitors wanting to have a glimpse of it are disappointed. Local residents respect Mount Rainier and consider it the most famous mountain in America.

This holiday season, there are several interesting activities offered to visitors. The snowplay, sledding and sliding is open up to January 2, 2010, but will be opened on weekends up to March. Visitors can also go snowshoe walking with a group of 13-25 people. All of these activities are supervised by Park Rangers.
