Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha beats Andrea Dovizioso of Honda and current MotoGP 2011 World Championship leader, Casey Stoner on Sunday’s Gran Premio d’Italia TIM race at Mugello, according to a report at MotoGP.com on July 3, 2011.

Lorenzo takes his second victory of the season while Dovizioso finishes second after passing his Honda teammate Stoner who came in third place.

Stoner started the race in pole position but a fantastic race by Lorenzo negated the early advantage of the World Championship leader. Dovizioso is in third place with 119 points, while Valentino Rossi of Ducati is in fourth with 91 points.
