According to press release by Intel‘s McAfee on its official website on Monday, September 10, 2012, searching online for Emma Watson‘s photos has a one-in-eight chance (12.5%) of landing a website with malicious software, or aiming to get their personal information of Internet users.

As noted in the report, McAfee is now on its sixth year in revealing the names of the most famous people, including Hollywood stars, athletes, musicians, politicians, designers, and comedians; which aims to warn people online to be extra careful before visiting a website page, particularly with attracting photos.

“In today’s celebrity culture, consumers expect to be able to go online to catch up with the latest photos, videos, tweets, and stories about their favorite celebrities. Due to the richness of the data and the high interaction, often times consumers forget the risks that they are taking by clicking on the links,” McAfee web security research director Paula Greve was quoted at

“As the sophistication and expectations of consumers with respect to their online experience has increased, so has the level and ability to deliver malware either by malvertising, exploiting the user’s browser without their awareness, or masking malicious URLs behind shortened URLs.” Greve added.

Among those who landed on McAfee‘s most dangerous celebrities Top 10 include Jessica Biel, landing on the second spot, followed by Eva Mendes, Selena Gomez, Halle Berry, Megan Fox, Shakira, Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, and Sofia Vergara. Jimmy Kimmel landed on the 13th and is the only male in the Top 20 list.

Other famous female personalities included in the Top 20 are Taylor Swift (Top 15), Elle Macpherson (No. 16), Bar Refaeli (No. 17), and Kate Upton (No. 20), while Katie Holmes and Kristen Stewart were not included in the Top 50 list despite the controversies and issues they had this year.
